A further £42.4 million has been allocated from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) for North Wales for 2025-26.

For 2022-25, a total of £126.46 million was allocated from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) for North Wales, namely the counties of Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, Isle of Anglesey and Wrexham.

The fund has now supported over 150 projects with 17 projects operating across more than one authority.

The successful projects include several funds which will allocate smaller amounts of Shared Prosperity Fund funding to support local initiatives and communities.

The funding package will deliver significant results for residents, businesses and communities of the six local authorities including:

Create/safeguard up to 2,500 jobs in the region

Help up to 2,000 households to save energy

Provide financial support to over 1,000 local businesses

Repair and improve up to 400 tourism, cultural and heritage assets

Support up to 6,500 local people to improve their numeracy skills

Plant up to 50,000 trees in the region

Support up to 12,000 volunteering opportunities

Support up to 6,000 local people to gain a qualification
